TCF Birthday Party
(Savvinskaya Naberezhnaya 21) Oct. 20th, 20:00
Happy 5th anniversary! A big shout out to Alex and all the worker bees at The Creative Factory for representing on Moscow's advertising field, and showing how it's done. They're doing so well, in fact, that they've opened up their corporate party to the public. Expect drinks 'n snacks, live music, and mirth o' plenty. The club venue is a yet-to-be-opened newbie with tons of space, lots of brick, warehouse-high ceilings, a long-assed bar, and a balcony stage. Check it out before it's too finished and too clean.
Nightflight Birthday Bash
(17 Tverskaya) Oct. 25th, 26th and 27th
Folks, you don't want to miss this. Not only should you pay your respects to the great legendary gentlemen's club, but it's a hell of a lot of fun every year, when the working ladies let down their hair and hang out with the menfolk just for a screamin' good time. Night Flight's celebrating their 15th birthday with a Hawaiian themed-party. That's 15 years of bringing the purest pleasure to sexually-challenged (and often married) Western men. If you show up for the party wearing a Hawaiian print shirt, you get in for free. Yep, so instead of blowing them on the cover, you can invest those 750 rubles towards one of the goils. You'll also look like the life of the party, meaning further discounts and rebates could be in the offing. The club is open from 21:00 to 05:00 and the restaurant will be featuring a special birthday menu from 18:00 to 04:00. We're gonna be there 3 nights straight and so should you. 3 nights -- 3 Viagras. That's the plan, folks.

Yeah, we know it's a DJ set. But still this is Peter Hook, the great bass player from Joy Division and New Order, who knew how to drive a beat right into your soul. It's not every day that you get to see a guy this important to every post-punk's hard mood swings show up in town to spin records for you. The promoters aren't releasing the name of the club and we're not sure what the mysterious name game is all about, but if we were to guess, we'd say it's a positive thing.

The good folks who brought us Help (see Pixx too!) and Tema Bar are back with a new addition to the Moscow watering-hole scene. The establishment is called "Booze." But don't be fooled -- this third bar, which is designed to be more part-English Pub, part-cocktail lounge, is a bit of a departure from the normal booze-n-sweat of Tema. A bit more upscale, with leather chairs, a wide range of beers, cocktails and various whiskeys and other fine spirits, Booze, located right next to Tema, could become a trend-setter in the increasingly segmented Moscow club/bar market. So if you're starting to grow up, but you still want to get fucked up, only in a more civilized, slightly upscalier place, then you have been provided for.
Help Birthday Party
(1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya 27, bldg 1) Oct 26th, 22:00
...But in case you still to just get hammered in a student-casual bar at demokratichny prices, then you can't do much better than Help. On the 26th, they're turning 2, and they want you 2 be there 2. Uh-huh-huh. Why go? The original no-bullshit cocktail bar for true cocktail lovers. Including Flounder. When Help's happening, it's not just happening. It's going off. Hot chicks downing cocktails, making out on the bar, with even hotter chicks gathering in flocks, elbowing each other to be the next in line to have a go at the bar. Now take that, and multiply that by two 'cuz Help is officially turning 2 years old.
